Driving in Germany and the Netherlands: Autobahn A61 from Mönchengladbach to Venlo POV

Описание: In this video you are driving along in the West of Germany towards the Netherlands. Starting at the industrial city of Mönchengladbach (260.000 pop.) on the edge of the Ruhrgebiet, we follow the A61 West to cross the border with the Netherlands. We drive around the Dutch city of Venlo (100.000 pop.) and continue West in the direction of Eindhoven.

I have driven this route many times before and it's usually quite heavy on truck traffic, being one of the main corridors between the harbors of Rotterdam, Antwerp (Belgium) and the German Ruhr Area. This was filmed on a Friday evening in July 2021 and as you can see there wasn't too much traffic.

After crossing the border with the Netherlands, initially there is a very short stretch of A74 which then flows into the A73 around Venlo. We then exit the A73 onto the A67 in the direction of Eindhoven (and Antwerp).
