The soundtrack for the initial build of this game was replaced due to the composer no longer being part of the team. Subsequently, all the original music disappeared from Youtube.
Cosmic Mind is one of the more disunified of ZUN's pieces, which is to say that the different segments of the theme don't transition into each other very well. I speculate that this is a matter of instrumentation, and this remix does a good job at remedying the weakness by being more consistent in this category. This is also a more ambient take on the theme, which is an unusual direction to take with an orchestral arrangement but is complimented by this sort of instrumentation.
