This vlog shows how I took the kids for an extended weekend at Walt Disney World's Fort Wilderness Campground—tent camping on a budget under $500 total (lodging, food, activities—no theme park tickets needed)! And it was packed with magic and memories.

We stayed in the tents-only loop (site 2029—electricity, water, grills, picnic tables), set up with tarps/lights, rented a golf cart (book early!), and enjoyed free perks like check-in checkers/water bottles. Highlights: Boat rides across Seven Seas Lagoon (over bridges to Magic Kingdom area), Monorail hopping, pools at Contemporary Hotel (huge slide, hot tubs, splash pad, towels included) and Grand Floridian (Alice in Wonderland splash pad), Trails End Restaurant (massive portions, pizza, free arcade timing hack!), horse barn rides, Meadows Trading Post (new pool construction), and tons of family laughs (milk carton skills, dramatic fountain poses).

No parks required—just pure Disney vibes on a budget! Highly recommend trying Fort Wilderness at least once for the nostalgia, relaxation, and resort-hopping fun.
