Day 8 of the escalating US-Israel-Iran war brings dramatic new developments across the Middle East. Israeli forces have launched a massive new wave of airstrikes on Tehran and central Iran, with the Israeli military saying more than 80 fighter jets targeted Iranian military infrastructure and missile sites.
One of the most shocking moments of the day came as Iran’s Mehrabad International Airport in Tehran was hit during the strikes, with explosions and fires reported near the facility. The airport, which mainly handles domestic flights, saw smoke rising near the runway as attacks targeted nearby infrastructure.
