Culturally grounded and community-led approaches are essential for meaningful evaluation in Indigenous contexts. In this webinar, Kase Cragg, MPH, MSW, provides a high-level overview of the Indigenous Evaluation Framework and Toolkit, highlighting core principles and practical applications. Additional resources, including self-guided virtual training modules and activity worksheets, are also provided.
Kase Cragg (they/he) has been with Seven Directions since 2023, where they work on the Technical Assistance and Indigenous Evaluation teams, as well as support several website communications projects. Kase's family is White (Irish and Scottish), and he was lucky to grow up along the shores of Lake Michigan in Wisconsin and Illinois with many Indigenous Elders as teachers who helped shape his worldview. Their first steps into the world of public health were through an environmental justice class taught alongside the Bad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa, and later by working as a counselor and harm reduction advocate in Chicago. Kase graduated from University of Washington in 2022 with their MPH in Social and Behavioral Sciences and an MSW in Community-Centered Integrative Practice. Kase lives in Seattle with their partner, Quetzie, and two cats, Special Agent Dale Cooper and Bertie MacEntire.
