Iran has closed the Strait of Hormuz due to the escalating conflict with Israel and the United States. This tension has increased concerns in the global energy market. This move by Iran is also worrying for India. News agency ANI reported, quoting government sources, that India has approximately 25 days of crude oil and refined oil products in stock. Therefore, India is exploring alternative sources for imports of crude oil, LPG, and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG). According to sources, there are no immediate plans to increase petrol or diesel prices in the country in light of the tensions in West Asia. On Monday, Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri held a meeting with senior officials of the ministry and public sector companies to review the supply situation of crude oil, LPG, and other petroleum products.
