Описание: In this weeks video of our Big Lap of Australia we go shark cage diving in Port Lincoln, South Australia with Calypso Star Charters.

Setting off on our trip this was one of those bucket list items that we just had to do whilst we were down on the Eyre Peninsula. It was an early start and a very long day (14 hours) but it was worth every bit.

It took us a few hours to reach the dive site in the Neptune Islands but once we were there it was all hands to shark watching stations. We were split up into six groups of eight for the cage diving.

Courtney and I were in group 2 and we were in the cage not long after the first shark was sighted for the day. We had a couple of really close up encounters of sharks swimming past the cage. One of the sharks after a few circles of the float covered in tuna guts disappeared into the depths. A few moments later all the fish scattered and out of nowhere this Great White just came up from the shadowy depths like a rocket, nailing the tuna guts and launching out of the water right in front of us. This particular moment was absolutely jaw dropping.

After about an hour in the cage our time was up and we hit the showers and settled into an afternoon of awesome hospitality from the crew. Food was served all through out the day and we still had plenty of shark viewing opportunities from the deck.

All in all it was a fantastic day with 6 different sharks sighted and is if the day couldn't get any better once we were underway making our way for port the crew opened the bar so we could knock back a few beers to top of this amazing experience.
