To give you an example, the branches of a tree. You have a trunk, but you also have lots of branches. Root canals actually have a lot of branches. You cannot address those branches with just a traditional root canal because you are just going down the main branch.

To clean those lateral canals where the bacteria can hide and later on cause infection, the GentleWave comes into play there. It cleans all the lateral canals out, which normally you cannot clean.
