Iran: Coronavirus Death Toll Exceeds 205,800
Over 205,800 people have died of the novel coronavirus across Iran, according to reports tallied by the Iranian opposition People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran as of Sunday. The official death toll declared by the regime stands at 57,383 around a third of the actual figure.
“When our death toll reached 500 per day you saw how these foreign networks launched roundtables saying the Islamic Republic of Iran is unable to manage this illness,” said regime Health Minister Saied Namaki on Sunday. “What can engulf us in a storm is the virus cycle, such as transferring from Kurdistan province (western Iran) to Bandar Abbas (southern Iran), and from there to North Khorasan province (northeast Iran). We are extremely concerned of this cycle,” he added, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.
Opposition’s Network Inside Iran Boosts Activities Across Country
The Iranian opposition network inside Iran organized anti-regime campaigns across the country targeting the regime’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei.
The Iranian Resistance Units bravely took to graffiti and installed handwritten slogans on the walls that read, “Down with Khamenei, hail to freedom” and “Rise up to overthrow the mullahs’ regime.”
They also installed huge posters and images of Iranian Resistance leader Massoud Rajavi and the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran Maryam Rajavi in different cities.
These activities, while facing the intensified repression imposed by the regime, echoes the Iranian people’s burning desire for change.
