Harz is a highland area in Northern Germany. Harz national park is located in Harz, which includes Brocken and surrounding forest. Other major attractions in this region are Goslar and Wernigerode.
Goslar is a UNESCO world heritage site, that includes old town, Imperial palace of Goslar and Rammelsberg.
Main attractions in Wernigerode are Rathaus, Castle and old town. The steam engine train to Brocken starts from Wernigerode. The journey in this train is a special experience, climbing all the way upto the Brocken.
