I walk you through how to stop box braids from itching. Removing the alkaline base will take the itch out of synthetic hair aka Kanekalon braiding hair. Most people are allergic to the coating and are unaware of what causes their scalp to itch after getting braids. I vinegar rinse my kanekalon hair because I am allergic to the base and can only keep braids in for a week if I don't do this to prep the hair. There are quite a few people who have this problem. If you get braids and find that your scalp itches or you have bumps or sores, you should try this before having your hair braided. I'm using Kanekalon braiding hair in the video but you can use the same process on weave to prep it.
