We're bros! And we like Pokémon! We're bros and we like Pokémon, so we've decided to combine those two things into the ULTIMATE CHALLENGE! THE BROLOCKE! Rules below! - Sacred

I played Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow as a kid but gen 1 never quite clicked for me the same way gen 2 and 3 did until I finally played Fire Red And Leaf Green. Definitly one of my favorites in the entire series even today, combine that with a randomizer and a buddy and you've got the ultimate playthrough! - Inutsu

Rules:
#1 - All standard Nuzlocke rules apply!
#2 - Both players' Pokémon are linked by the route they were caught on. If one goes down, the other goes down with it. No exceptions. That also means that if one player fails a route, that kills the route for the other guy!
#3 - Both players cannot have the same "Type" covered in their party. There can only be one Water Type, Fire Type, Grass Type, etc, between both players. Pokémon with a secondary typing can instead use that other typing to skirt around this rule. (Ex: One Player can have a Squirtle, and the other Player can have a Lapras. They're both Water Types, but Lapras will be registered as an Ice Type.
#4 - We cannot level our Pokémon up any higher than the current Gym Leader's strongest Pokémon. If at any point a Pokémon surpasses that level cap outside of the gym, it is eliminated.
#5 - If a Pokémon is lost during a run, it becomes ILLEGAL for all future runs.
#6 - The run does not end until we've successfully made it through each mainline series generation in a single attempt. If we get to Paldea and wipe, it's straight back to Kanto with us.
