Описание: Join me as I show you how to create, Moody night skies, birch trees, pine trees, airplanes and more. They are all featured in this painting I did on my dads first heavenly birthday. I talk through what I am doing, why I am doing it as well as how I came up with the concept of the painting. I wanted something to honor my dad and the gifts he gave to me. Including the sense of independence to move away and find my own path, while holding true to the values he taught me.

Yesterday was a hard day. he passed away 3 months ago. Just typing that makes my heart hurt.
Just before going into hospice he asked me to paint him something, so I did. On his birthday it made sense to paint him another.
He was a night owl, and fairly moody, hence the night sky with a moody feel. 5 years ago he bought a lake house with birch trees and pines. He loved the outdoors and instilled that love in me. I remember him saying he could “live in a swamp”. He built RC airplanes and loved going to the EAA fly in At Oshkosh. I love the outdoors but live in the city. I moved away when I was 21 and now at 50 have spent more of my life living elsewhere.
My goal was to create a painting that encompassed all of that. You will see how I did so in the second video. “Forget Me Not” a tribute to my dad.
