मंगलवार, 10 फरवरी 2026 को विपक्ष द्वारा लाए गए अविश्वास प्रस्ताव के बाद लोकसभा की कार्यवाही एक बार फिर गरिमा और नियमों के केंद्र में रही। सदन की अध्यक्षता संभालते ही ओम बिरला ने स्पष्ट किया कि यह आसन किसी व्यक्ति विशेष का नहीं, बल्कि भारत के संविधान और 140 करोड़ नागरिकों की संप्रभु इच्छा का प्रतीक है। उन्होंने विपक्ष के उन आरोपों को सिरे से खारिज कर दिया जिसमें कहा गया था कि प्रतिपक्ष के नेता की आवाज दबाई जाती है। स्पीकर ने दो टूक शब्दों में कहा कि चाहे प्रधानमंत्री हों या विपक्ष के नेता, सदन के भीतर कोई भी नियमों से ऊपर नहीं है और हर सदस्य को प्रक्रिया के तहत ही बोलने का अधिकार है।


Following the opposition's no-confidence motion on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, Lok Sabha proceedings once again focused on dignity and rules. Upon assuming the presidency, Om Birla clarified that the seat represents not any individual, but the Constitution of India and the sovereign will of 1.4 billion citizens. He categorically rejected the opposition's allegations that the voice of the Leader of the Opposition was being suppressed. The Speaker stated unequivocally that, whether it be the Prime Minister or the Leader of the Opposition, no one is above the rules within the House, and every member has the right to speak within the procedures.
