I remembered I have this X-ray transformer laying around so why not connect it to the ZVS driver from banggood (I bought on ebay). Since the original primary winding does not have a middle tap I had to remove it. Since it is in an earthed shell I was able to pull it you without damaging it. The primary winding has only about 20 turns of ~ 8mm² flat wire.
I replaced it with 2x5 turns and hooked it up to the driver board.
The transformer is from an old GE mammography machine.
