Decades later, Isaac and Rebecca, who were the new parents of faith in that generation, had two sons, Esau and Jacob. Esau had married local women, Hittite women who were pagan, idol – worshippers. Their presence among the family was a thorn in the side of both his parents. In stead of righting his wrongs, he married another woman, a daughter of Ishmael and by merging his bloodline with that of Ishmael a diabolical plan began to unfold against the children of Jacob. One felt to this very day.
