📊 Researchers identified 52 key odor compounds in dried cultivars:
38 never reported in flower before
6 never seen in this plant at all
👉 Beyond terpenes, they found:
Esters → fruity sweetness
Thiols → tropical & skunky punch
Acids → intensify notes
Phenols & eugenol → smoky & spicy layers
🌱 Terpenes like myrcene, pinene, and linalool still matter. But tiny amounts of these other molecules can flip the entire aroma profile.
