Toronto police Chief Myron Demkiw is set to hold a news conference at 1:30 p.m. ET Monday alongside Shelley Carroll, chair of the Toronto Police Service Board. This comes following an earlier announcement from Ontario's inspector general of policing who said he will conduct a provincewide independent review of police in the wake of a corruption scandal involving more than half a dozen Toronto police officers.
