F1 2020
Brazilian Grand Prix with realistic TV Broadcast coverage
Round 9
Lewis Hamilton is on pole, he can win the world championship by finishing ahead of Vettel – it could be another great day for the Englishmen in Brazil, the scene of his first world championship back in 2008. Or will it be another day of drama and despair for the man trying to equal Michael Schumacher's record haul of 7 Drivers World Championships.
In this video I have created realistic highlights of the Brazilian Grand Prix on F1 2020, creating a TV Broadcast look to the game and adding in my own rather exuberant commentary.
And about that TV Broadcast leaderboard Mod, I have Finally found it! A TV Broadcast leaderboard that does all the graphical work for you, so I don’t have to spend days overlaying my own personal graphics into the game – with this I have set up the game so I simply race and record the graphics separately and just add them in the edit – here is the link to it with an guide on what to use to set up on your F1 2020 game – please note this only works on PC

• F1 Grand Prix Season 2020
In this Video I am playing F1 2020 but giving this a 1990s BBC style presentation but using the latest modern TV Broadcast package, to try and show the world once upon a time just how good F1 coverage used to be. BBC Grand Prix race coverage from the 1990s was just brilliant, I’ve missed this era of Grand Prix broadcasting so here is my attempted to recreate a retro version of F1 coverage using Codemasters late F1 game – F1 2018 (Because it can be modded). I’ve also taken my video editing software to its limits to re-create the 90s TV Graphics that you would get on F1 Broadcasts of the 1990s and early 2000s. Watch out for all the Graphics and lower thirds in this.
The Racing was really good in this game, I am playing as Max Verstappen as you cannot simulate races, and I’m letting the AI decide the winners of each race. One day ill show my racing set up also.
Also I’m returning in this series to the old style point system and just 11 races (to make this videos takes a fair amount of time) so its as follows
Win = 10 Points
2nd = 6 Points
3rd = 4 Points
4th = 3 Points
5th = 2 Points
6th = 1 Point
Formula 1 has always been popular in the UK, until recently we could watch at least half the races live but now we can only watch the British Grand Prix, which is the only Grand Prix to feature every year along with the Italian Grand Prix since 1950.
I loved the old BBC Coverage of Grand Prix, introduced by Murray Walker whose voice was so captivating and immersed in the sport his passion and enthusiasm was almost as important as the actual racing that took place. Then also don’t forget James Hunt who’s understanding and technical knowledge was great to listen too also.
Fleetwood Mac’s “The Chain” was also a big part of race coverage, although most races would air as part of Sunday Grandstand with qualifying on Grandstand unless the BBC were showing highlights, or the race started at 4am. I hope this version still steers memories of the great grand prix TV days.
I do remember watching race coverage of the 1996 Japanese Grand Prix and being on the edge of my seat waiting to see if Damon Hill could finally win the World Drivers Championship. That lead to Murray Walkers famous lines “And I have to stop, because I’ve got a lump in my throat.”
