This video was filmed during our weekend trip to Madrid in April 2022 — a time when mask mandates were still in place across Spain.
We arrived early Saturday morning by train from Orihuela. It was cold (just a few degrees Celsius!), but the city felt warm and full of life. We explored Retiro Park, admired the architecture, wandered through lively neighborhoods, and people-watched at cafés — something I truly love.
On Sunday, we visited the flea market (El Rastro) and witnessed a moving protest for Ukraine.
It’s been three years since that trip, and though I wasn’t planning to publish this video, it feels like a beautiful moment in time worth remembering and sharing.
