Oz: Southern rain chances lift from this weekend

Heavy rain in the tropics may sink southwards into South Australia, then further into parts of Vic, NSW and Tas over the next week. There are still some large dry areas around those states - and around Qld too - but areas of heavy rain/thunderstorms are expected later this weekend and perhaps off and on again next week.
While it is a little messy, the computer models we trust most are basically on the same page - the only detail still missing is precisely where the heaviest falls be. We explain the tug of war in the atmoshere that can move things around a bit between now and when the wet weather chances move in.
We also have 2x 7-Day rainfall maps to generally see driest and wettest parts of Australia over the coming week.
