Waters Rising is a 12‑minute underwater journey built from over 100 marine‑life clips — caves, shipwrecks, coral forests, stingrays, turtles, jellyfish, eels, and the full spectrum of ocean color. I’ve wanted to create a marine‑life video for a long time, and this felt like the right moment to bring that vision to life.
This piece was originally written a couple years ago, built on a simple repeating chord progression that slowly evolves into a layered, emotional soundscape. The first half is calm and reflective — electric piano, strings, Celtic violin, and classical flute — and then the music begins to rise. At 6:50 the alto sax enters with a more aggressive edge, followed by a heavy rock guitar solo at 9:09 that brings the energy to its peak.
The visuals follow the music:
• divers exploring caves and tunnels
• a shipwreck resting on its side
• decayed coral giving way to vibrant neon reefs
• stingrays “flying” overhead
• clownfish, octopus, crabs, lobsters, lionfish, cuttlefish
• a massive school of translucent jellyfish forming a figure‑8
• snorkelers engaging with a lone sea turtle
• and a final wall of blue fish to close the journey
A couple scenes include the natural sound of ocean bubbles to add authenticity.
This video is meant to feel like a deep‑sea expedition — calm, mysterious, colorful, and alive.
