"My Funny Valentine" is composed by Richard Rodgers and became a popular jazz standard, appearing on over 1300 albums performed by over 600 artists.
One of them is Rachelle Ferrelle's superb version of this romantic classic taken from her self-titled debut CD, released in 1990 by Somethin' Else Records and distributed by Toshiba EMI in Japan. The album is mistakenly called "Somethin' Else" across the internet and reissued 5 (five) years later titled "First Instrument" for the US/European market. The song is produced by American jazz fusion drummer Lenny White.
Unfortunatly no Bonus tracks on the Japan CD release but that doesn't spoil the fun!
