Riders' Notes: If you make this trip from Mulberry Mountain, Byrd's Adventure Center, or Combs like we did, the direction we went was Mountain Crest through Temple Hill to Winslow. You will see a lot more pavement this way, but if it is a dry dusty day, this would be the better route for sure. If it has rain the day prior to your ride, check out the route through Bidville up to Sunset to Winslow, or if you want to take a longer route (which will be MUCH longer) go through Frog Bayou Trail 1705 up to Sunset. Bidville to Sunset is longer than Mountain Crest through Temple Hill, but a lot less pavement and probably better mountain views & scenery, that overlooks Frog Bayou valley and Hurricane Creek valley. We came back from Buckhorn OHV Trails going the Bidville route over to West Fly Gap Overlook, and took the Pig Trail back to Serenity Campground. The Maprika track of our route is at the end of the video. And yes, round trip was 122 miles from Combs to Buckhorn and back. Both GoPro cameras either ran out of memory space or battery life, the reason why we did not get footage coming back through Bidville. But if you want to see footage of that, I did the Frog Bayou to Winfrey from Mulberry Mountain Lodging and back through Bidville back in 2016.
