Have you ever wondered if your child has autism? Maybe they are socially awkward, or they struggle to express emotions. When kids meet developmental milestones but still have social & emotional struggles, it's easy to be lost wondering what options are available. Often kids with high functioning autism ride the fine line between barely qualifying for autism or barely missing criteria for the diagnosis.
So, how do I know if that's my child? Being a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner & a mother of 2 high functioning boys, these were the same questions I was asking myself about 5 years ago. Since I'm further along in the autism journey, allow me to help you answer your burning autism questions.
