One of the roadblocks to racial inclusion and anti-racism is BIPOC who condone and help perpetuate the systems of racism and whiteness.
When we examine the racist systems that have been embedded into our society, the default is to point fingers only at White folks. I think it is time that we also begin to examine how we as people of color can be complicit in these oppressive systems. One concept that helps us to better understand this complex idea is the concept of White adjacency.
