Nowadays, Christopher Nolan has a reputation for high-budget blockbusters. Some of his harshest critics claim though, that he's carried entirely by his production value. His expensive visuals and grandiose soundtracks. And while it is true that a modern Nolan film contains these characteristics, the assessment that he needs a high-budget to be successful is blatantly false. To prove this, we need look no further than his second feature film, and where many first heard the name Christopher Nolan, Memento.
