Personal 3D Type Motion Exploration - LOOP
This piece was inspired by one of my older experiments where I carved type forms out of Styrofoam. The response encouraged me to push it further, creating a more intricate structure where every line runs in perfect parallel and rolling spheres gradually scoop out the form to reveal the word LOOP.
The process: I animated sweep splines to form parallel lines, then drove small spheres along those paths. By combining both animations through volume meshing, the effect feels like balls carving into Styrofoam to shape the letterforms.
Perfect for banners, UI, VFX overlays, or just zoning out.
Software: cinema4d, redshift
