Jamie's march into battle was not the first time in Outlander season 7, episode 15. There has always been a sense of worry that this might be the character's final appearance in the series. At the hospital encampment, Claire has usually been safe, but the Battle of Monmouth turned everything upside down. After Claire was shot in the abdomen, it soon became clear that she would not be able to heal from the wound on her own. The man running the Continental field hospital was not the kind of highly qualified physician Claire needed.
Despite Claire's abandonment by the Continental doctor, there was new hope when the Hunters arrived. Denzell Hunter, who has a wealth of medical skills, has been eagerly learning from Claire about the future. They both concluded that the bullet was probably stuck in the liver, and Claire remained conscious long enough to give Denzell some guidance. At the conclusion of Outlander season 7, episode 15, Claire assured Jamie that she would not abandon him, and Denzell was prepared to begin. Hopefully, she can fulfill this promise with the aid of some very fortunate cheese.
