Day 2 on Desert Loon | Calibrating to the Sea
Our second day aboard Desert Loon — Brian and Greta’s beautiful catamaran — becomes a day of arrival in the truest sense. Not just arriving in location, but in body, breath, and awareness.
We swim in crystalline turquoise water among vibrant reef life, meet a fellow sailing family (complete with dog and baby ducks), and witness the ocean’s characters up close — barracuda, turtles, sea stars, and a magnificent eagle ray that leaps from the water as if to greet us.
A sudden warm rain shower rinses the salt from our skin — a freshwater blessing from the sky.
Simple food tastes divine. Conversations deepen. Laughter travels underwater as silver bubbles.
By sunset, something shifts: the nervous system softens, the senses sharpen, and we begin to feel fully here.
A day of calibration.
A day of reverence.
A day of grace.
