He is currently working as the rural affairs editor of The Hindu. This lecture is an edited version of a longer presentation delivered at the Washington State University campus in Vancouver, Washington. The lecture was sponsored by the Center for Social and Environmental Justice of Washington State University. P. Sainath spoke at the Washington State University Vancouver campus on February 25, 2005.
