I had some issues after doing my first 3rd gear wide open throttle pull. I sent my data log to my tuner and he noticed that the car was pulling a significant amount of timing around 6000 rpm. His immediate thought was that I may have a bad tank of fuel.
Because of this I decided to go ahead and replace my fuel filter with a brand new OEM filter. I assume this part has never been replaced in this car and so it may be due. Especially since most of our gas here in Nevada is 91 octane which isn't that great. I show how to install the fuel filter which on the 2006-2007 WRXs is situated inside the fuel tank with the fuel pump.
In addition, I have other issues that pop up while trying to get this car ready to move forward with the tune. You will get to see what happens when I try better fuel and a fresh filter! I won't let these issues stop me from getting this car dialed and making some real power to the wheels!!
