Iffet is a young woman who is living with her father and sister in one of the slums of Istanbul. She sees Cemil, who she's crazy in love with, secretly despite the strangle hold of her father who is extremely conservative about his honor and dignity. Yet, Iffet can't stay away from the modesty and honor disciplines that she has been infused with by her father for years. No matter how much Cemil insists, she keeps her virginity and strongly objects to have an intercourse before marriage.
