For the millions of Central Government employees and pensioners, the 8th Pay Commission currently stands as the most significant issue. Everyone is hopeful that this commission will lead to improvements in their salaries, allowances, and pensions. However, amidst this, the Indian Railway Technical Supervisors Association (IRTSA) has raised serious questions regarding the commission's methodology. The organization asserts that the questionnaire issued by the commission is woefully incomplete and fails to incorporate several crucial issues pertinent to the employees. The commission had initially set March 16 as the deadline for submitting suggestions—a date that has since been extended to March 31, 2026—yet, despite this extension, the discontent among employees has not subsided. In a letter addressed to the commission's Chairperson, Ranjana Prakash Desai, the IRTSA has unequivocally stated that the existing set of 18 questions is insufficient to truly comprehend the genuine problems faced by the employees.

केंद्र सरकार के करोड़ों कर्मचारियों और पेंशन पाने वाले लोगों के लिए 8वां वेतन आयोग इस समय सबसे बड़ा मुद्दा बना हुआ है। सभी को उम्मीद है कि इस आयोग से उनकी सैलरी, भत्तों और पेंशन में सुधार होगा। लेकिन इसी बीच इंडियन रेलवे टेक्निकल सुपरवाइजर्स एसोसिएशन (IRTSA) ने आयोग की कार्यप्रणाली पर गंभीर सवाल उठाए हैं। संगठन का कहना है कि आयोग द्वारा जारी की गई प्रश्नावली पूरी तरह से अधूरी है और इसमें कर्मचारियों से जुड़े कई अहम मुद्दों को शामिल ही नहीं किया गया है। आयोग ने सुझाव देने की आखिरी तारीख पहले 16 मार्च रखी थी, जिसे बढ़ाकर अब 31 मार्च 2026 कर दिया गया है, लेकिन इसके बावजूद कर्मचारियों में असंतोष कम नहीं हुआ है। IRTSA ने आयोग की चेयरपर्सन रंजना प्रकाश देसाई को पत्र लिखकर साफ कहा है कि मौजूदा 18 सवाल कर्मचारियों की असली समस्याओं को समझने के लिए पर्याप्त नहीं हैं।
