The term Standing Dead is what the Forest Service uses to describe a forest after a wildfire has ravaged the area. The Estacada, Oregon Wildfires of summer 2020 were just 800+ feet from our home and barn, but we were spared 🙏.

Join me and Jet on this heart wrenching journey as we visit a friend's home and workshop that was completely destroyed in the Wildfires. Make sure to ride with us to the end as we run into Nahko and his other horse Foxfire as they are heading to the forest to see the Standing Dead too.
