Описание: I captured this timelapse in late July 2017, on a particularly clear day, and on a night the volcano of Stromboli was particularly active, with almost uninterrupted, continual eruptions. I have been observing this spectacle for many decades and I cannot remember a more active night of lava displays. Above, the northern end of the Milky Way sweeps across the night sky like a graceful feather caressing Stromboli. This was truly an unforgettable night, a wonderful display of one of nature's most awesome sights.
