We spend some time at Tettegouche State Park/Rest Stop and hike to the tallest waterfall in Minnesota. What an incredible area! If you EVER get a chance to stop at Tettegouche State Park....DO IT!!! If you are short on time and can only do 1 hike.....we recommend Shovel Point. The views are SPECTACULAR!!
There are also a few trails from the rest stop that will take you right down to the beach.
If you have a little time to spare.....drive into Tettegouche fee area and do the short 1/2 mile hike to High Falls.... the tallest waterfall in Minnesota.
