Dear Stranger,
I wrote this song a couple years back when I was grieving the end of a "just friends" type relationship. Call it what you will. At the time I was bitter and hurt and angry. I couldn't see why it didn't work out. Why he didn't think we were perfect for each other. I now know that we really weren't. I blamed him when it wasn't his fault alone. We both should have known better. But in midst of the end of that I wrote this song. I put it aside after I realised how wrong I was about the whole thing but I came across it again recently and thought it was still a good song and worth sharing.
Know that in this life, there aren't always heroes and villains. Things aren't always black and white. Humanity is more nuanced than that. And whilst all pain is valid and worth being felt and expressed, we need to remember there's always another perspective or two.
