Oregon got the ball to start the half and after 2 good defensive plays, Morris got some good outside blocking on a TD screen

We see the brutality of the Bauman tackle, a nasty SOB of a player.
The 3rd quarter was most a defensive struggle. Oregon had 2 big runs up the middle but drive stalled and the fake punt with a pass fell way short.
Texas did have a drive with 2 good catches by Healy but Simms threw his 3rd INT, this time in the red zone.
Joey Harrington drove the Ducks with a couple of clutch passing and then a misdirection pitchout to a backup RB. Then Joey runs up the middle on a defense loaded with NFL talent at DT, even middle LB.

Victor Ike responds with a KO return for a TD ,the first in 266 games as yelled by Tirico! The first since 1978, a remarkable stat considering the speed at UT for 22 years. Victor Ike later transferred.

Oregon drives down the field with exceptional Jeff Tedford play calling to get a run TD
35-28 Oregon
Texas gets the ball and with a massive NFL size line, cannot convert a 3rd and 1, but get the 4th and 2. Long PI in the endzone to Roy results in deep field position. Then 2 famous drops by BJ and 1 by Roy could have changed history.
Oregon gets the ball and fumbles at their own 30. Texas gets the ball but Simms throws an INT. Oregon chooses to take a safety to make it 35-30. UT has one final shot from about the 40 but the desperation pass in the endzone does not connect.
