In this video I show how I saved 5 salamanders from a Certain Death. I found these salamanders while breaking down a pond. I took them home and made a salamander enclosure for them. I show how you can care for wild salamanders. There were two species: Alpine newts or Ichtyosaurus alpestris and a Smooth newt or Lissotriton vulgaris. I show you how to feed the salamanders, how to make a suitable enclosure for them, with land and water parts which makes it a paludarium for salamanders. After keeping them for 1,5 week I released them back into the wild in a very nice spot where they belong, so I rescued five newts from habitat destruction.
