Blade Runner 2049
Its strange to see sequels from movies made 40 years ago. Stranger still that they can match actors from then.
This is a slow movie, not quite the realm of Terrence Malick but it does come within the territory. Whats interesting is it gives most of its beats lots of time to sink in. Yet there's a pivotal moment where this goes from a detective story to a fugitive story that felt like it happened in the blink of an eye.
The 3D is really very impressive. And there's lots of time to see it. I noticed how well they incorporated slight twists in the points of view in many of the close-ups with the hands.
