Описание: This video shows a piping berm failure at the Smurfit-Stone mill site modeled at 66,000 cfs. This flow is based on historical flow data at the USGS stream gauge below Missoula. Piping in this model occurs at the location of a remaining outfall pipe. Piping occurs when water seeps under and creates boils or seeps through the berm where weak points exist, such along existing pipes and where rodents have dug holes into the berm.
