Oxis Live in the Medium Sized Backyard

Описание: Oxis’ voice beams up from 20,000 leagues under the sea, blending technology and nature in a distinct and unorthodox way in her music and visuals. “Long Sardine” was the first music we heard from the LA based artist, via a video clip of her building and singing the song while surreal effects danced over her movements.

“Long Sardine” has taken on a life of its own as Oxis has blended it with other songs, including “Mr. Brightside” and, in the Medium Sized Backyard, with MGMT’s “Kids” and folk trio Daughter’s “Youth.” The entire performance, which includes a cover of Stromae’s French language “Papaoutai” and Oxis’ own song “Baqui” is entrancing, with those same glitchy effects appearing again.

“When I create codes that make lines and numbers move to music and motion, it makes my mind feel less chaotic,” she says. “It’s robotic and organic.” Oxis’ new album ‘Oxis 7’ is out now.
