A minutes silence was held in memory of Queen Elizabeth II who died two days earlier with players and officials from both matches taking place at the nest today.
This was Hornets first home game of the season in National League 2 West having been promoted last season from South West Premier. They played Barnstaple who finished 16th last year in National League 2 South. A keenly contested game between two evenly matched sides produced 45 points, 4 tries, 2 conversions, 7 penalty kicks and 1 yellow card. Here are some of the highlights and all the scores.
