Gyrocopter
In 1920, after losing his best friend in the plane crash due to STALL (most common reason of airplane crashes), Spanish airline designer Don Juan da la Cierva sweared to design the safest aircraft on the planet, and already in 1923 the world has seen the safest aircraft ever made, the only aircraft in the world that can not enter STALL. The Gyrocopter.
Why is it so safe?
The rotor is always on the auto-rotation, it is not driven by the engine but by the air flow, so the gyrocopter can continue with the flight and safely land even in the case of engine failure, in principle, every landing with the gyrocopter is done without using the engine, that is, with the engine in idle, so, in case of engine failure, the gyrocopter will land safely, at the same speed and with the same ease as if the engine is in function. An active pilot is considered to be the pilot who makes 100 hours of flight annually, that is, ROTAX without any problems flying for 20 years, after which it is necessary to do the overhaul, replace the rotor and propeller, then the aircraft is ready for the new 2000 hours of flight. Due to its durability, reliability, low power consumption, simple maintenance, and the ability to maintain the same power level regardless of the altitude, the ROTAX 912 powers over 70,000 ultra-light aircraft worldwide.
With the advent of modern, lightweight materials, primarily carbon fiber, the production of the gyrocopter is experiencing an unprecedented expansion in the world of aviation, primarily due to safety and then due to the fairly low cost of the aircraft, minor maintenance costs, hangaring, insurance and due very low fuel consumption (13-20l 95-octane car fuel).
Currently, the gyroplanes are sold at the rate of 10: 1 in relation to the airplanes in Europe and USA.

The gyrocopter is equipped with standard and advanced aviation equipment; radio transmitter, transponder as well as the latest technological innovations from the field of navigation, monitoring meteorological conditions and air traffic, and as such is an excellent choice of aircraft for both panoramic and international flights.

The autonomy of the gyrocopter with one fuel tank of 80l is 4-5 hours of flight, cruising speed of 160km/h, range over 800km.
The minimum speed of the gyroscope is 35km / h, which is ideal for panoramic sightseeing, the recommended flight height between 1000ft (300m) and 12,000ft (3,6km).
The aircraft's altitude record is 26,663ft (8.1km).
The gyrocopter’s only flat surface is its rotary wing (rotor), which is only 20 cm wide, and therefore the gyrocopter remains stable even in strong wind and strong thermals - this aircraft is certified to fly in the winds of 50t (92km / h), which is unthinkable to fixed-wing aircraft, for example, Cessna, the world's best-selling single-engine plane, can operate on winds up to 21 knots, so when all other aircraft have to land, the gyroplanes can fly and very, very stable.
All those incredible characteristics are the reason for the mass transfer of pilots from airplanes to gyrocopter.
