AYF - Arran High School advert

Описание: Arran Youth Foundations' film-making club - which runs every Wednesday - have completed this short film on Arran High School in the hope of showcasing their school and possibly even attracting new teachers to the island.

The red carpet premiere - the public's first chance to view the ten minute feature, as well as a number of other movies produced by the youngsters - took place on the 15th of November in St Bride's church hall, Brodick, and saw the film gain a very warm reception from a capacity crowd. AYF are delighted that we can now share the film online.

The charity's Youth Work Project Manager, Graeme Johnston, explains: "We were approached by Mr. Auld, the head teacher, about making a film on the high school in the hope of increasing applications from prospective teachers.
"I did warn that there would no doubt be a lot of cheeky humour in it and while that's the case, the affection held for the school by both the pupils and teachers featured really shines through.
"From the purchase of our first camera a couple of years ago, film-making club has really grown arms and legs. We now have four HD cameras, high-tech editing software, our own Youtube channel and we've just acquired our new, professional audio setup, with the boom mic on a pole that you'd see on a Hollywood set! The young people have slowly become adept at their craft and the quality of this latest film focused on their school is really impressive for a small group of any age, never mind pupils from S1 through S4 simply working for a couple of hours after school every Wednesday."
