News: देश और यूपी में एसआईआर लागू होने से जहां मतदाता सूची का सही पुनरीक्षण हो सका है. तो वहीं यूपी में 2.89 करोड़ यानी 18.71 प्रतिशत नाम भी कट गए हैं. गोरखपुर की बात करें तो यहां अब 30.20 लाख मतदाता हैं. जबकि 6.45 मतदाताओं के नाम काट दिए गए हैं. हालांकि अभी 3.22 लाख मतदाताओं की मैपिंग नहीं हो सकी है. हैरत की बात ये है कि एक से दो दशक पहले आधुनिकता की अंधी दौड़ में जहां लोग गांव छोड़कर शहर में बसे तो वहीं के मतदाता भी बन गए, लेकिन गोरखपुर का एक गांव ऐसा भी है, जहां के 28 सदस्‍यों के कुनबे का 6 परिवार शहर छोड़ गांव से मतदाता बन गया हैं.
