These achievements have been realized because of the unwavering dedication of visionary leaders of the past and relentlessly continued by the present administration who continue to take the cudgel of exploring boundless possibilities despite the lacks of the present and uncertainties of the future.
Having earned these awards and distinctions: the University has gained its strength in terms of its program offerings and student enrolment. From its humble beginnings of 25 students in a wood working class in June 1907, today, it has tremendously reached to more than 22,000 semestral enrollment with 78 programs: 41 undergraduate, 25 master’s, and 12 doctorate degrees and producing globally competitive graduates of about 3,300 annually.
To ensure the delivery of quality instruction, conduct of relevant and responsive research, extension and production, faculty development is enhanced through a comprehensive scholarship program and professional growth through patent application, article publication in internationally refereed journals, paper presentations to national and international fora, attendance to seminars, conferences, in-house trainings, and community engagements.
Research and instructional facilities are enhanced and updated to ensure competitiveness and responsiveness of faculty and student outputs to global standards.
Holistic development of graduates is given emphasis through the inclusion of the University’s core values: Spirituality, Accountability, Professionalism, Patriotism, Harmony, Integrity, Respect, and Excellence (SAPPHIRE) in all of students’ involvement inside and outside classroom activities.
