We can always earn more money, get another promotion, or find another job. But once a moment with the people we love has passed, it's gone forever.

Getting laid off after 25 years in the tech industry completely changed the way I think about work, success, and happiness. It made me realize that companies move on, job titles disappear, and careers eventually end. What remains are the memories we create with our families, our friends, and the people who matter most.
