For a short time each year, the hillsides of the Columbia River Gorge explode with color as the balsamroot and lupine awaken from their slumber. It’s become an annual tradition for me to wander down south for this wonderful show. This is my hiking diary detailing all the breathtaking sights and sounds I encountered on the trip. Feel free to tag along for the second day of my trip.
